The Scholarship 2010
The Moorilla Scholarship is a $12,500 bursary offered by Moorilla to an emerging Tasmanian artist. It is an opportunity for the artist to work unencumbered by the constraints of debt usually associated with making art.
Financial support is given towards the purchase of equipment and materials for an exhibition, held after twelve months as recipient. Moorilla selects one work from this exhibition for their collection. The Scholarship began in 2001 and has assisted 11 Tasmanian artists towards their goal of becoming professionals.
