2012 provided the ideal vintage. In these rare years, a balance between sugar, acid, flavour and phenolics in the vineyard evolves slowly. This allows Moorilla to produce a wine of ripeness and perfume, classical structure and length. Black currant and red berries aromas and flavours abound; dried Provençal herbs, perfumed oak and violets add complexity. Medium bodied and smooth, the skin and oak tannins are fine, plentiful and balanced by the natural acidity. Together they will provide longevity. This is a wine that will benefit from decanting over the course of its long life.
