A single vineyard chardonnay from an outstanding vintage. This is an austere wine with integrated oak that sits alongside rather than overpowering the Tasmanian terroir; it’s an expression of fruit character, crisp acidity and a mineral backbone. It will drink very well in its youth but will also soften and improve with maturation. Mineral, lime citrus, stone fruit and stone fruit blossom aromas are unadorned. There’s no charry oak here and the natural acidity isn’t softened via malo-lactic fermentation. The silky lees stirred texture compliments beautifully the natural acidity and impressive length.
