Cabernet 2012
Our 2012 Muse Cabernet leads with a vivid bright purple hue and a spicy, intense nose of eucalypt, charred capsicum and current. The palate is complex and rich in blackcurrant, plum, liquorice, cranberry, and clove, with dusty tannins and zesty acidity providing balance. Wonderful structure and intriguing savoury notes deliver a wine that is fully developed, earthy, and layered, with high tannins that hit all the notes.

Winemaker Notes
Despite many differing opinions, I believe Tasmania has the capacity to make some excellent Bordeaux styled blends. This relies on a combination of good site selection, viticultural practices and attention in the winery. This wine is a fine example of such a cool climate wine. Savoury and spicy notes are found over fruit. Rich and complex it will benefit from decanting over the course of its long life.
