Extra Brut Sparkling Rosé 2013—Magnum
A slightly heavier Pinot noir influence drives this wine, from the mesmerising, medium-full pink colour onward. The vibrant mousse carries astonishing breadth of flavour, with classic Pinot noir notes (cherry, fresh herbs, rhubarb, subtle smoke) beneath a glorious, more traditional floral bouquet, bundled with lively summer fruit and a rich, long-lingering finish. Will age very well.

Winemaker Notes
Like the Extra Brut, our intention with the rosé is more targeted towards being an aperitif in style rather than rich and broad. By retaining freshness of fruit and acidity in the base wines we use extended lees contact to compliment and enrich the wine. Reductive handling and no malolactic are key to achieving this balance so the wine style is outside of the mainstream. Red wine is added pre-tirage to fix the tannin profile of the wine which is mostly blended from our pressings components. This means that the wine is slightly darker than other versions but with more tannins this wine gains versatility in food matchings.
