Pinot gris 2025

Muse

Pinot gris 2025

Showing a slight blush in the glass this is an aromatic and inviting Pinot gris. Ginger, white flowers and ripe fruit—nashi pear, passionfruit and a hint of musk on the nose. The palate follows through with pear, kiwi and pineapple, edged by grapefruit rind and orange blossom. Luscious yet balanced, with a soft acid line, gentle minerality and a delicate, well-integrated oak finish.

Winemaker Notes

Tempering wild yeast against inoculated yeast has worked very well for many years now as I think it provides balance between fruit, spice, mineral and wild fermentation funkiness. As with all Muse wines, the emphasis—when we blended the wine—was not to achieve intense fruit but rather subtlety, complexity and texture. I consider this wine an excellent food wine but to keep the wine drinking in the balance that I try for in the winery I think it would still be best for drinking within 5 years of release. However, it will last longer.
